Mentorship and Resilience Project

This project is partnership between NorQuest College, Concordia University of Edmonton, Boys & Girls Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton, and the Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) Black Students Association. This initiative supports Black youth over 18 in Edmonton by pairing them with successful Black professionals for one-on-one mentorship, aimed at building resilience and expanding professional and social networks. Our comprehensive program includes interactive workshops that enhance career potential through networking and skill development, along with resilience training to aid integration into the Canadian workforce. This project addresses the challenges Black youth face, including systemic barriers and limited access to employment networks, by fostering essential skills, self-esteem, and a sense of belonging to improve their career trajectories.
